Nichijou is a Japanese anime series that aired from April to September 2011 in Japan. Based off the manga series of the same name, the story features an ensemble cast, focusing on the high school freshmen Yuuko, Mio, and Mai. They are joined by the odd family of Shinonome Lab, with the teen android Nano, 8-year-old professor Hakase, and their talking cat named Sakamoto. Together in the town of Tokisadame, they face a series of wacky hijinks in their everyday routine, experiencing the bizarre and miraculous moments of ordinary life.
