Principal Shinonome is the bald principal of Tokisadame Highschool, and an implied relative of Hakase and Nano Shinonome. While known for his old jokes and puns, unknown to most, he is a talented wrestler. He is shown to be self-conscious of his lack of hair.
Appearance[]
He wears a black suit with a long-sleeved white shirt and a full Windsor tie knot. In "Nichijou Episode 6", where Principal Shinonome wrestles with a deer, it is revealed that he wears a vest underneath his suit. It is unknown if he wears that vest everyday.
In Episode 6, it is revealed that his 'hair' is actually a toupee, and that in reality he is completely bald. He tried to have his hair grown back by going to a doctor. Unfortunately, his hair is already gone permanently.

Personality[]
He is rational, proved by him when thinking he wouldn't win if he climbed the statue again while his battle against the deer. He can't make a good joke as the students didn't laugh at the ceremony.
He is calm, except when talking about his hair, or when being paranoid over the vice principal trying to take his job.
Relationships[]
It is a running gag that Principal Shinonome is paranoid that Vice Principal will take his job.
Kousuke Oura (Vice Principal)[]
Kousuke Oura is the vice principal of Tokisadame Highschool. He is also known as Kyoutou-sensei. He enjoys tormenting Principal Shinonome.
Manabu Takasaki[]
Principal Shinonome has a friendly relationship with this teacher in the few moments they are seen together, like when he cheered Manabu on when he was really enthusiastically doing push ups. It is unknown whether or not Principal Shinonome approves of Manabu's confused antics.
