My answer: Why not? It's fun. Plus it adds some kind of small activity to this almost dead Wiki page... Poor Nichijou... But! Haven't you heard? Haven't you seen? There is recent (ish) news that Nichijou is finally getting the long awaited Dub that it... deserved? Sure.
I wasn't really one to support this idea, as I was one of the few who decided agaist it. But, Funimation worked against my cries of "No", and thus they gathered (if I say so myself) a pretty promising cast.

Oi!! Where's the Activity in the Blogs???
Ok, it's been a while since I've posted. The reason being is that I was seeing if there was going to be any new activity in the blogs section! I know, it's not the best section of this whole wikia, but the blogs can tell people certain things about Nichijou. One of them is the birthdays of the characters (I find that interesting at least), another could be how the show has actually had some crossovers with certain companies or even other shows (the only one I know of is with Shirobako... Hehe).
In short, I just wanted to see this underappreciated show/manga (series???) and wiki being active.... I don't mean to force it...

Today I picked the anime/manga called Made in Abyss.
It was the winner of 2017's Crunchyroll Anime Awards for it's stunning visuals and FREAKIN' AMAZING SOUNDTRACK!! It was, and still is, highly praised by fans. But, the anime is more popular than the manga... I can see why now... But both are really good!

My second anime/manga I picked is Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica! I really love this franchise cause it cool.
This thing (?) is about Magical Girls who fight creatures that make people (essentially) depressed. Specifically this version of the story focuses on a girl named Madoka Kaname. You can tell she's the main character by her (Crayola's version) salmon pink hair! Sometimes depending on which scene or episode, it changes to lavender or mauvelous (also Crayola)!
I can't really say much past the end of episode 3... So... But there is one thing I can tell you! If you ever do watch the show and get creepy, stomach-chruning vibes from the first Witch in episode one, YOU SHOULD.

Today I picked the manga Komi-san is Bad at Communication (it has way too many names, so I picked the most common English name)!
It's as the title says. The main character, Komi Shouko, has - as the other characters call it - a disorder where she cannot speak in front of very many people she doesn't know well. Even with this mental (NOT physical) disorder in the way of making friends, she tries her best anyway.

Hiya, folks! Thought I'd make an update blog because I haven't made one in a while, someone else didn't JUST make a blogpost, and grad school's just resumed so if I don't do it now I might not have free time again for several months.

First of all, I've noticed a lot more activity lately. A ton of pics have been added, so I've really fallen behind on cataloging them.
Speaking of cataloging, I've gotten a job this fall working for the university library's cataloging department. Right now it's mostly getting rid of a ton of outdated material (STEM stuff) to make room for newer things; there's a lot of books on computer programming and so forth from the 1980s (one was from 1977), so there's a LOT of old material to go through.

On the usage of tabs in character pages
Hi all, I wish to have a discussion on the usage of tabs on character pages. Personally, I'd rather not have them.
I noticed that many wikias that I come across tend to split up character pages into multiple tabs. For example, on this wikia, pages are typically divided into "Main Article", "Relationships", and "Media".
Currently, it looks like we're using the Tabber extension to create these tabs. One advantage of this over the separate-pages tabbing template that other wikias tend to use is that the page doesn't need to reload every time you change tabs. On the other hand, one downside is that the Edit section links don't work. For example, if you go to Nano Shinonome#Relationships and click "Edit" next to the Hakase section, it just brings…

Little Update
So I haven't been on here nearly as much as I'd like lately. I'm in grad school now, which apparently involves a lot of work? I think I also mentioned thinking about getting a Blu-ray player for my laptop to take great captionless hi-def pics, but they're like $90, so...
On the bright side, someone FINALLY recognized my Nichijou sticker on my laptop. I think he's in one of my classes... He said the background for his laptop is from Helvetica Standard, so there's potential for, like, conversations I guess? Maybe I could start a club where we watch an episode or two every week.
I thought I'd have more to say, but it looks like I don't. Hmm, oh well.

This is a notice I guess. Seeing as I'm running the CITY Wiki, a site for editors, I'm like the Editor in Chief, right? So there's a character in CITY... The Editor in Chief of the CITY Magazine. See where I'm going with this? The guy only wears shorts, sandals or no shoes, and a tropical shirt. He's also completely off his rocker. Fitting enough. My avatar could've used an update anyways, it was literally a an upscaled version of a favicon I made for another wiki. So... I joined this wiki end of 2015 and made good headway. Wrote a couple of articles, reworked a couple of pages, contributed to overall editing. Then I kind of stopped after starting a big project that I never got through. (I haven't hung it up for good, by the way!) It has come to my attention that Funimation has acquired the distribution rights to the Nichijou anime, and will release the complete series (subbed) on DVD and/or Blu-Ray in North America next month. While I don't see any date on the official site, Amazon.com leads me to believe they will be released February 7. The 7th is a Tuesday, so that's probably the correct date, as it seems DVDs, books, and CDs are generally released on Tuesdays. While this may seem old hat to anyone from Japan or Australia, this is the first opportunity for those of us in Region 1 to buy this wonderful animated series. Time Flies
Boy, a lot of time can pass without doing much on a wiki if the admin in charge has a lot of other things going on in their life. Senior seminar and a 30-page paper... Work and the Christmas rush... Pokemon Sun... Transferring files from my old laptop to my new one (and having to re-enter a ton of information on my vast iTunes catalog because it doesn't transfer correctly if the id3 tag is v2.2 and not v2.3)...Trying to talk to that one girl at the movie theater without making it awkward... Making it awkward and hating myself... Being assured by my counselor that it wasn't that bad, and I need to stop being so self-critical... Can One Have Too Much Nichijou?
Short post. During break at work this morning, I was doing the crossword like I usually do and, when the clue was "Greeting in Japan," or something like that, I thought Selamat pagi. Then I glimpsed over at the Jumble (because I like terrible puns; I can usually solve the Jumble without even unjumbling the clues) and I swear to God, one of the scrambled clues was GLICO. ...I then took my pen and added, "...'s Free Prize," just like Yuuko. Now I'm afraid the next time someone asks me a question, I'll reply by laughing and saying, "Well said!"

April has finally arrived, and our little wiki is being featured in Animanga's spotlight! So to all the Nichijou regulars, thank you for all you've done to turn this wiki into something, even though we still have a lot of work to do. SO excited; my copy of Volume One of the Nichijou manga arrived in the mail! But that's not all. With Nichijou being so obscure, I was blown away when, on a lark, I checked the manga section of my local bookstore and found Nichijou on the shelves. It's a relatively small bookstore, so I didn't think they'd have it. AND, this was on Saturday, when I thought the official release date was on Tuesday.
