Aunt is a minor character in Nichijou. She is possibly Egi Masaharu's wife. In Episode 10, she hosts a nagashi-somen event, which intrigues Annaka. Aunt plays malicious jokes on Annaka, much to her chagrin, giving her dirty chopsticks to use, tossing a baseball and uncooked noodles down the bamboo chute, and scolding her in the process. When this causes Masaharu to return from a 30 year long odyssey, Aunt hurtles down the bamboo chute herself and tearfully reconciles with him.
